An ability to understand or know something immediately based on your feelings rather than facts.
Often there’s no clear evidence one way or the other and you just have to base your judgment on intuition.
I’ve started to use my intuition in regards to healthy eating. I know that this may sound crazy, but it’s working for me. It actually goes hand in hand with will power I believe. I went grocery shopping this week and before I walked into the super market I asked (in my head) please help me and direct me with my shopping.
I had a very small list when I walked in, but generally that doesn’t matter to me, I will end up with a lot in my trolley. This time I amazed myself and only got what was on my list. And at the end I asked – do I need anything else. The answer was no. So I didn’t get anything that my body does not need – like bread.
And I believe this is where the will power comes in – I had the will power to resist getting anything else because I had asked for help at the beginning. Normally I would ignore that and just get some unhealthy food.
Generally weekends are my worst time for eating, but this weekend has definitely been one of my better times. I also read in a book about someone who was trying to lose weight and keeping saying that, and nothing was happening. But she changed it to “I’m reclaiming my beauty” – I just love that so that is what I’m now saying.
Since telling myself that I’m reclaiming my beauty, asking for help and using my intuition – there has been a change. You have to stop focusing on losing weight, it seems that the more you focus on that the more you get.
I’m not sure if I’m putting this in the right words, but this is how I see things and it seems to be working for me. And of course only time will tell.
I challenge anyone to try this and see how it works for you. Ask the universe (or higher self, or the angels – whatever feels right for you) to help you to eat healthy today, ask for help when grocery shopping. Tell yourself you are reclaiming your beauty and see how it works for you.
