I know this is a little late, but better late than never I say.
So did I achieve my goals for 2017 – NO!
What was my goal? – To eat a whole food diet.
I started out doing really well in March 2017. Then it started to go downhill from there.
My mind definitely took over and it become a roller coaster for the rest of the year. However I did do a lot of personal development in 2017. Reading a lot of good books and doing some courses and listening to some great podcasts etc.
So this is my journey. I’m still waiting for the light-bulb moment that seems to come so easy for some people.
I look on this as something that is a lesson for me – what I will get out of this I have no idea. I’m hoping one day it will become apparent.
In the meantime I am still applying some of the stuff that I have learnt throughout the year. I think one of the best things is when I am mediating in the morning is to ask the universe/angels for help to eat healthy today. On the days I do this everything is easy. Some days I forget to ask and this reflects in my eating.
It’s all about creating habits and I know that I can do this, the question is how much do I want it?
Sometimes the sugar/carb craving just seems to take over and the healthy eating just gets lost in the confusion.
Towards the end of the year a really good documentary file came out called Heal. It was so interesting. There was one stand out for me – Anthony William, Medical Medium.
Medical Medium – now that fascinated me. His story is amazing. He has written 3 books. I have brought all 3 and read them, and I found all 3 so very interesting. All of his information comes from spirit so his theory on what is causing the diseases of today was so interesting. He supports eating plenty of veges, but most importantly – fruit. There has been so much fear around eating fruit because of the sugar content but he doesn’t agree with that and promotes eating lots of fruit.
I have to say that I had the fear of eating fruit so I am now working on overcoming that, and incorporating more fruit into my diet.
So all in all 2017 was not a good year for my diet.
Here’s to 2018 being so much better!
